Title of Research:
Probabilistic inversion of well production models for Shale-Gas developments.

Description of Research
The probabilistic inversion of well-production models for Shale-Gas developments is a new field of research intended to increase the confidence of calibration results. A probabilistic description of a vector of parameters required to predict production on a shale gas well can be retrieved by the use of the Bayesian paradigm and production data only. A random vector of parameters retrieved a-posteriori from the Bayesian solution of the inverse problem of a well-production model used on shale gas developments, can serve as the basis for a full probabilistic spatio-temporal modeling of geomechanical, petrochemical and fluid properties when the data used for the inversion belong to wells located within some proximity.
