Dr. Medina-Cetina, along side his colleagues, presented a poster at the 2020 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting. Their poster represented their research on predicting permafrost thaw in the Arctic. Titled \”Using Bayesian Network Framework to Predict Permafrost Thaw in the Arctic,\” their work focused on the susceptibility of permafrost thawing as a result of rising temperatures. Using the Bayesian Network Framework, they are able to better predict and study thawing patterns under given conditions.
