SGL TAMU hosted a seminar on Thursday, May 11, 2023 with Dr. Seung Won Yoon, the president-elect for the Academy of Human Resource Development. He is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development and People Analytics in the Ed Admin & Human Resource Development Department. His research focuses on improving employees\’ and organizational performance through connecting leadership, learning/knowledge sharing, and technologies.
Dr. Won Yoon presented on \”Human Resources & Workforce Analytics: Computational Approaches to Analyzing People Data.\”
His abstract is as follows:
\”Workforce development is more than training, job placement, or labor economics. It is an area of rich practice and research that includes attracting, recruiting, developing, retaining talents. For scalable workforce, the modern-day workplace requires systematic and data analytical approaches to improve learning and performance of multiple levels – individual employees, teams, the organization, and of course the future workforce.
This seminar will introduce exemplary frameworks, industry case studies, and the presenter\’s project examples to show how workforce development can be better integrated into educational and assessment components of collaboration projects.\”
